Founded in 2007, Short Shrifted is the web’s primary authority on clothing and style for short men.
If you’re anywhere south of 5-foot-9, trying to buy clothes off the rack can be an exasperating experience. When it comes to clothing, short men have truly been short shrifted. But there are clothes out there that fit. It’s just a question of tracking them down. That’s why I started Short Shrifted. To connect you to the clothes, styles, stores, tailors, links and advice that best fit you.
I started blogging to combat the frustration I experienced trying to find a suit to get married in. Something that actually fit right. My whole life, I’d struggled to find clothes that fit well, but that was the last straw. And where was all the information online? It didn’t exist. So I decided to create my own resource for shorter men.
Based in NYC, the geographical focus is generally local, though many of the chains mentioned exist nationwide and often have website/mail-ordering options. Additionally, there are reviews of online-only companies. Of course, the variety of body types and shapes among short men is great, so clothing reviews describe each aspect of fit.
